Note: has undertaken extensive and careful research on Frederic Sydenham Clarke, inspired some forty years ago by the chance finding in a street market of Clarke's own diaries, covering a couple of years living and working in Siam, during the years of Disraeli's premiership back in England. The diaries as found were anonymous except for a cryptic reference to FSC's own initials. David has not, to date, published the fruits of his researches, but his interest in his subject continues.
The diary and transcript and notes that David produced for his project are now in the Manuscripts Department of the Guildhall Library in London, England. The Manuscript numbers are Ms31639 (for the diary) and Ms31640 (for the transcript and notes).
is keen to hear from anyone with information to share on Frederic Sydenham Clarke 1850 - 1921.
